Elma Ducic – Owner and Head Coach


Elma is the original Beast from Canada East.  She has always been a force to be reckoned with.  Known for her strength and engine, she managed to qualify for CrossFit Regionals for straight 5 years.  In 2010, Elma also made a trip to the CrossFit Games with her team and has made endless podium finishes since then.  She is now a National level lifter and owner and face of Hawkestone CrossFit.  Even though Elma continues to get stronger each day, she puts her family and members first.  With the talent to rise to the top in the CrossFit world, she still prioritizes her business and members. That is what makes Hawkestone the best gym in the GTA.





Timothy Velez “Coach Tim”


Tim began his Crossfit journey 3 years ago and quickly gravitated to the fitness sport. “I have gotten stronger, fitter and boosted self-confidence.  Why Hawkesone?  Elma Ducic!  She encouraged my potential and gave me the opportunity to coach.”

Tim has a Kinesiology degree along with a Paramedic diploma.  He received his CF Level 1 In November 2013 and has been coaching ever since. Tim is an excellent coach and leader, he is patient and extremely skilled. If you are ready to get fitter, faster and stronger, Coach Tim can take you there, all you have to do is show up and be willing.





Akiko Parks “Coach Koko”

Akiko Parks a.k.a “Coach Koko” a.k.a Mr. I like BIG butts and I cannot lie, became a CrossFit addict from his very first WOD at Hawkestone 2 years ago. Koko is a CrossFit Level 1 certified coach “I enjoyed the intensity and challenge of CrossFit workouts so much that I became a coach a year ago”

Koko is a fitness enthusiast who loves sports and has participated in MMA and traditional training. He has natural coaching abilities and will give you 100% support and guidance to help you reach a higher performance level. It’s true Koko loves big butts and he cannot lie, so ladies and gents if you are looking to get the maximum out of your gluteus maximus, Koko is there to help!







Mark Kamino “Coach Kamino”


Mark Kamino is a Firefighter with the City of Toronto and has been an active CrossFitter for over three years. He received his (CF-L1) Cert in 2014 and has been coaching at Hawkestone Crossfit ever since. He also has his CrossFit Mobility certificate. Coach Kamino is motivating and his high-energy helps newbies as well as experienced athletes achieve their CrossFit goals.









Nabeel Rkieh “Coach Nabeel”

nabeelA rookie coach with senior expertise.  Nabeel has been a cross-fitter  for the past 4 years and became a Level 1 certified coach in May 2015.  Coach Nabeel has a big heart and is extremely patient.  He will guide you through step by step and will not allow you to give up even if you wanted to.






Tina DeCarvalho   “Coach Tina”

Tina is our basket211ball superstar.  She played NCAA D1 Basketball at Charleston Southern University from 2006-2010.  She was a senior captain of NSCA All-American Strength and Conditioning Association in 2010.  Her coaching career started in 2010 when she started coaching elite and provincial level girls in basketball in Ontario.

Besides basketball Tina has many other qualifications.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Bachelor of Education,  NCCP level 1 certification and  CrossFit Level 1 certification.

” I started CrossFit in February 2014 and instantly became hooked.  I fell in love with the burn, the challenges, the intensity, and the sense of community.  It’s like being on a team, everyone holds each other accountable for giving max effort every workout.”





Steve Sandor – Olympic lifting coach

Steve Sandor is one steveof the best olympic lifting coaches in Canada!!!  He is a former National team member with the Hungarian national team and he has coached countless athletes to Canadian National teams including his son Akosh Sandor who he coached to the Olympic games.

Steve is a NCCP Level 3 International weightlifting coach, former National team coach for Canada and has over 30 years of experience in weightlifting.
